Chris Moon

Artist Name – Tsukiku San

I have been an artist all my life.  I create art to live and I live to create art.  If you can relate to this statement, then you may be an artist as well.

I have fielded many questions about art but the most common question I get is, “so you’re an artist, do you draw?”.

I call myself an artist because it is what I am.  Everything I do is art from my makeup, to the clothes I wear, to the words I write.  It is not just something I do, it is who and what I am.

I have met artists who create with numbers, they call themselves mathematicians.  I have met artists who create with words, we call them writers.  I have met people who swear they don’t have a creative bone in their body but get them on the dance floor and their body tells a different story; we call them dancers.

That said, I believe that we are all creative.  Even if a person does not “draw” or paint, they are creating their own thoughts and thus their own reality all the time.

By this definition, we are all creative and thus, we are all artists.

I believe that creativity is a right, just like breathing.

Create to live, live to create.
