The Awesome Foundation – San Jose Chapter
The Foundation distributes a series of monthly $1,000 grants to projects and their creators.The Foundation provides these grants with no strings attached and claims no ownership over the projects it supports.  They have many chapters throughout CA.

CCI The Quick Grant
Program provides reimbursement funds to nonprofit organizations and individual artists in the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles to enroll in workshops, attend conferences, and to work with consultants and coaches to build administrative and business skills and strengthen the economic sustainability of an organization or arts practice. Individual artists may receive up to $500 and arts organizations up to $1,000. Deadline 15th of each month

The Creative Industries Incentive Fund
A program offered through a partnership of the City of San Jose Office of Cultural Affairs and the Center for Cultural Innovation.

Poet Laureate
An honorary two-year position awarded by the County of Santa Clara to elevate poetry and celebrate the literary arts. This position comes with a cash stipend and official duties. (November deadline)

Silicon Valley Creates’ Laureate Program
The Artist Laureate program awards cash grants to our finest artists in honor of their creative work and contribution to our community. (November deadline)

Weimers Award
The Leigh Weimers Emerging Artists Awards is a program of the Rotary Club of San Jose. It was created with seed funding from the Spirit of San Jose award committee. The Spirit of San Jose award was created to recognize individuals for their contributions to and support of the City of San Jose, its economic growth, its arts and its community.

The Creative Work Fund invites artists and nonprofit organizations to create new art works through collaborations.

The Harpo Foundation
The Grants for Visual Artists award provides direct support to under-recognized artists
of any age.

National Endowment for the Arts (NEA)
Established by Congress in 1965, the NEA is the independent federal agency whose funding and support gives Americans the opportunity to participate in the arts, exercise their imaginations, and develop their creative capacities 

The Ruth and Harold Chenven Foundation
gives annual awards to individual artists and craftpersons living and working in the United States, and who are engaged in or planning a new craft or visual art project. Applicants should have a developed body of work. The Foundation does not accept film, video, performance art or music submissions. Deadline – July

The Sustainable Arts Foundation
A non-profit foundation supporting artists and writers with families. Our mission is to provide financial awards to parents pursuing creative work. Deadline – Spring/Feb and Fall/Sept
