1) Connecting is important! As artists and creatives we tend to hold ourselves up in our studios or work space and not get out much. Connecting with your peers and other creatives is vital to a healthy creative practice. Get out, meet someone new, get inspired, motivated and network with your fellow artists.
2) Community! This one goes along with connecting. It is important to support your fellow artists and contribute to your creative community. Anyone can complain about the way things are, but are you willing to show up and contribute? It’s really not that difficult to show your support and stand up for our art community.
3) It will be fun! We will have music by San Jose DJ Greg Gioia, wine, snacks, lots of art, and awesome people.
4) Free stuff! Ok we know we are pandering a bit here but who doesn’t like free stuff. We have a limited number of goodie bags for guests who join us. They will include an original piece of artwork by Jason McHenry, artist prints, coupons and/or samples from University Art, The Arsenal and A Work of Heart Studio. We will also be having a free raffle during the event for an original piece of artwork from Andrew Irvine.
